Retiring an ageing SharePoint 2013 intranet

The challenge

A professional services firm was running a heavily customised SharePoint 2013 intranet that nobody wanted to touch, let alone upgrade.

What we did

We mapped what was actually still used, rebuilt the information architecture around Microsoft 365 hub sites and Teams, and migrated content in stages so nothing broke mid-project.

The outcome

An intranet the team can actually maintain themselves, on a platform that gets updated instead of feared.

Power Automate

Turning a paper approval process into a workflow

The challenge

Purchase approvals were still routed by email and printed forms, with no visibility into where a request actually was.

What we did

We built a Power Automate cloud flow, replacing the paper trail with something staff could track from their phone — automatic routing, reminders, and an approval log that didn't rely on anyone's inbox.

The outcome

Approvals that used to take a week now happen in days, with an audit trail nobody has to chase down.

Power Apps

Replacing a shared spreadsheet with a canvas app

The challenge

A field team was tracking site visits and equipment checks in a shared spreadsheet that broke every time two people edited it at once.

What we did

We built a Power Apps canvas app they could use on their phones on-site, writing straight back to a proper data source instead of a spreadsheet.

The outcome

No more overwritten rows or version conflicts — and a manager who can see what's been checked without asking around.

.NET · Azure

Building a custom booking system on Azure

The challenge

An off-the-shelf booking tool couldn't handle the client's pricing rules or their existing customer database, so staff were patching the gaps by hand.

What we did

We built a bespoke ASP.NET Core app with a React front end, hosted on Azure with Functions handling the background jobs, and integrated it directly with their existing systems via API.

The outcome

A booking flow that matches how the business actually prices and schedules work, with no manual patching required.

Entra ID · Security

Cleaning up guest access after a merger

The challenge

Two organisations merging meant two tenants' worth of guest accounts, stale permissions and unclear ownership across SharePoint and Teams.

What we did

We audited access across both tenants, rebuilt the permission model around Entra ID groups, and put expiry and review policies in place so guest access doesn't just accumulate again.

The outcome

A single, auditable access model instead of two overlapping ones — and a clear owner for every site and team.

SharePoint Health Check

De-risking a SharePoint on-prem to cloud migration

The challenge

A client wanted to move off an ageing SharePoint farm but had no clear picture of what was actually running on it, or what would break in the move.

What we did

We ran a full farm and search diagnostic, flagged the customisations that wouldn't survive a lift-and-shift, and delivered a staged migration plan built around what we found.

The outcome

A migration that went ahead with no surprises, because the risky bits were known and planned for up front.
